It is an honour and a privilege to encounter you on the Hillsong College website. As senior pastors of Hillsong Church, and Presidents of Hillsong College, we invite you to prayerfully consider how investing one or more years here at Hillsong could prepare you for your God-given destiny.
We passionately believe in the potential of all people, so we invite you to come to beautiful Australia to embark upon a life changing time of preparation. You were 'born for such a time as this' (Esther 4) and our all-consuming desire is that you would live a life of significance and be empowered by our loving Saviour to lead and impact in every sphere of life.

Campuses

Both campuses are equipped with air-conditioned lecture rooms, Library facilities and music practice rooms for live & silent workshops. Both campuses are academically identical and have the same level and quality of teaching. For TV & Production streams students will have access to technical equipment that has been designed around a full professional television production & live theatre performance environment, that supports the operational objective of Hillsong Church on weekends. These facilities are recognised internationally as technically cutting edge. The "Hills Campus" also houses a dance studio complete with sprung floor & full length mirrors.

Main Campus (Hills)

The "Hills Campus" located in Baulkham Hills (Northwest Sydney) is the main College Campus.and offers all 5 Streams along with our Degree study option. The well-known Hillsong Convention Centre is the home of the "Hills Campus" and offers state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and lecture rooms.

City Campus

The "City Campus" is located in Waterloo (Eastern Sydney). Rich in culture and diversity, the "City Campus" is neighbour to the excitement of business, educational activities and a mix of lifestyle and social groups. The "City Campus" offers the Pastoral Leadership and Worship Music streams.

Mark Hopkins - Executive Vice-President
Cert. IV. AWT, B.Sc., Dip Ed.
Mark has over 30 years' experience in leadership & ministry, serving as pastor at Hillsong Church for many of those years. Mark's vitality & zeal for life is reflected in his preaching, teaching & leadership style. Mark is passionate to see men & women of God realize their God-given potential & make a difference in this world for Jesus Christ. To that end, he endeavours to create a learning experience unlike any other - where the church & college are one. Students are immersed in a unique environment of theological & practical training designed to equip the student to lead & impact in every sphere of life. Under the leadership of Brian & Bobbie Houston, Hillsong College has seen thousands of graduates released to impact this generation through the life-transforming message of Christ. Mark has been married to Sandy for over 20 years & they have two awesome sons.
Lee Burns - Principal Hills Campus, Senior Trainer (Bible, Theology and Leadership)

Being a former graduate of Hillsong College and Pastoring on staff at Hillsong Church for the past 12 years, Lee is well-positioned to understand the needs of students and equip them to become more effective in their Christian life. Lee joined the pastoral staff of Hillsong Church in 1999 where he led the New People Ministry with his wife Cherie. In 2003 Lee became a member of the College faculty and teaches in a variety of areas. Lee has completed his Masters of Theology and currently continuing further post-graduate work. His desire is to see the Church rise up to be all that she is called to be on this earth by connecting God’s people to the purposes of God for their life and equipping them with mindset and skills to accomplish it. When not studying, Lee can be found surfing, golfing or raising his three children.
Catrina Henderson - Principal City Campus, Senior Trainer

Catrina is the Principal of the City Campus of Hillsong International Leadership College and a pastor at Hillsong Church. She is passionate about teaching, leading and building the Church and is involved doing that in College, Sisterhood and across Church life. She has been a part of Hillsong Church/College staff for over 10 yrs and loves it with all her heart. Catrina is devoted to training a generation of world changers and committed to advancing the Kingdom of God on the earth.
Catrina passionate about teaching the Bible and teaches a variety of subjects across Cert IV, Diploma and Adv Diploma. She especially loves teaching Old Testament Introduction to the Cert IV students and Old Testament Studies to the Diploma students.
Duncan Corby - Academic Dean and Course Development Manager, Senior Trainer (Bible, Theology, Leadership)
Cert.IV AWT, Dip Min., B.Sc., M.Th
Duncan has been a member of Hillsong Church for over 27 years. Born and raised in Australia, he was converted in the first year of his university studies and has been part of the life of the church ever since. He was been a valuable member of the College team for over 15 years, leaving a successful career in banking, product management and market planning. He has also been heavily involved in ministry and leadership at Hillsong Church, with roles in training and leadership development, pastoring, and small group curriculums. He is also a graduate of the College completing his Diploma in Ministry in the early nineties. More recently, he completed his Masters in Theology studies with the University of Manchester, with a thesis analysing Paul's teaching on giving and prosperity.
Duncan is passionate about building Hillsong Church, its people and its vision for reaching and influencing the world. He is also pursuing his call to train and release thousands of leaders into ministry around the globe, and as a leader, teacher and mentor, absolutely loves what he gets to do in College. As one of our most experienced lecturers, he is especially keen about teaching New Testament, Leadership and Apologetics. He especially loves being able to prepare people leaders with a biblical and well-thought-through faith that is powerfully relevant to our modern world and with a solid and well-developed leadership philosophy and skill-set.
Duncan has been married to his wonderful wife, Wendy, for over 22 years. Together they have four great sons- Ben, Nathan, Nick and Josh. As a family, they love being planted in Hillsong Church, and are loving God, loving church, and loving life.
John Scott - BCM (Degree) Campus Coordinator
BA Dip Ed, MA
Originally a teacher with the NSW Dept of School Education, John graduated with an MA in Early Christian and Jewish Studies in 2001 (Macquarie University) and had worked teaching in this field from that date. His research interests include late Second Temple Jewish history, early Christianity and particularly Historical Jesus, an area in which he is currently preparing to undertake doctoral study.
He is currently Campus Director of the Baulkham Hills Campus, Alphacrucis College, Sydney, Australia.
Andreas Kranzler - TV Media Stream Coordinator
Dip Min, Cert.IV AWT, Certificate from German Acting School
After working as an actor for a few years Andreas decided to move behind the camera in 2005. He worked in several areas like as a camera operator for a large German folk record label, as a caster for TV shows, as a creative coach for a German-wide science show and his work as a freelance creative producer includes: 2 audio books for a publishing company (one of them listed on the German best-selling list) A video trailer for a book release A do-it-yourself training DVD about car tuning 3 Commercials for the German Alpha Course 3 Commercials for a large Hotel, Hostel and Seminar complex EPK for a record-label for a album release Trailer for a international award winning documentary
From 2008 till 2009 he worked for a German TV channel as a creative producer in post production on over 44 episodes of entertainment shows and documentaries.
Andreas has attended our Hills Campus since he moved to Australia with his wife Lin in 2009. He has been working as our TV stream coordinator since 2010. Prior to joining Hillsong, Andreas was part of the founding leadership team in a church plant in Cologne/Germany.
Andreas is the stream coordinator for our TV stream and is leading the TV tutorial together with Bruce Hogan. He has a passion for quality media and helping people to encounter new possibilities and expanding their potential.
Matthew Capper - Trainer
B.Music, Cert IV TAE
I started off like many young adolescent males hitting the drums. However, my uncle being a music teacher quickly got me into playing percussion in various musical ensembles from orchestras to percussion ensembles. Eventually, I studied a bachelor of music focusing on classical percussion. In this time, I played in orchestras, bands and of course church. I have played everywhere from Sydney to Baghdad and in between from theatrical type shows to rock shows. But, for me nothing compares to playing in church on any given weekend. I believe, it is one highest honors. More recently, I have been helping out with projects across college life. Myself and the team also put together a series of training videos put on YouTube for Hillsong's God is able album. I am a big fan of seeing people stretched, challenged in ways that set them up for life. I believe, in training people that are consistent in everything they do.
Mary Capper - Trainer
Bachelor in Mus Ed, Adv Dip Min, TAE in Cert IV 2. N
Originally from Madison, Mississippi, graduating from Mississippi College with a Bachelor's in Music Education, Mary is passionate about education and music. I am passionate about seeing people equipped for ministry in a practical way that will empower them to be a blessing wherever their travels may take them.
Matthew Fitzgerald - Trainer
Diploma of Ministry (Hillsong college), B.Th (Southern Cross College), Cert.IV AWT, M.Th (candidate) (Catholic Institute of Sydney)
Matt became a Christian in his late teen years through the ministry of Hillsong youth and later served in the youth ministry as a leader. His passion for history, biblical studies, philosophy and literature was prevalent from the early period of this conversion. Matt lectures an array of the pastoral subjects at Hillsong college as well as running a book club.
Tina Brown - Trainer
BEd(Physical and Health), BTh, MTh, Cert IV AWT
Tina Brown has been involved in education for 13 years in a variety of educational institutions teaching a range of subjects physical health, mathematics and biblical studies across all ages K -12 and adult education. Tina has completed a Master of Theology with a particular interest in the book of Daniel and the topic of dreams and visions. For the last four years Tina Brown has held a training and course development role at Hillsong International Leadership College. Tina lectures Old Testament Introduction and World Religions for first year students and is responsible for overseeing the writing and delivery of the core and pastoral stream subjects for the Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma awards. Tina has been a member of Hillsong Church for 9 years and has been a key leader in the 25-35 community for this time. Prior to joining Hillsong Church Tina was part of a founding leadership team as a volunteer in a church plant on the central South Coast. Tina has a passion to teach and minister the Word of God to build the local Church, develop leadership and impart a heart for reaching the nations.
Tracy Barrell - Trainer
M.Th, B.Th, Adv Dip Min, Cert.IV AWT
Tracy was born and raised in England and worked in Arts Administration for 7 years. In 2001 she visited Hillsong Church Australia and was impacted by its powerful worship, relevant teaching and practical approach to discipleship. She returned to Sydney in 2002 to study at Hillsong International Leadership College and quickly became passionate about discipleship in the local church as well as "thinking Theologically." She has been running a Connect Group for young adults for 9 years and has been involved in various other areas of Church life. As she pursued further study Tracy became involved in writing and teaching Hillsong Church Evening College courses and continues to enjoy equipping Christians to think through their faith in practical and pastoral ways. She has been teaching in the full-time Hillsong International Leadership College Pastoral Stream since 2006, feeling privileged to train and equip a leadership generation to build the Church and cause the Kingdom of God to advance across the earth.

Statement of Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21).
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy (Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 43:10-11, Matthew 28:19, John 17:11, 1 John 4:16).
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life (Isaiah 53:4-6, John 1:1-14, John 14:6, Colossians 2:13-15, 1 Corinthians 15:20).
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives (John 3:3) (Acts 2:38) (Romans 10:9) (Ephesians 2:8-9) (1 John 1:9).
We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues (Mark 16:16, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Galatians 5:22-23).
We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the 'breaking of bread' (Matthew 16:17-19, Acts 2:42, 1 Corinthians 11:17-34).
We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live (John 4:23-24, Galatians 6:10, Ephesians 2:10).
We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively (Joshua 1:8, Matthew 8:16-17, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, 3 John 2, 2 Corinthians 9:11).
We believe that our eternal destination of either heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:36, John 5:28-29, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, Revelation 20:11-15).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised (John 14:1-3, Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
